I enjoyed Harris's YouTube videos, and bought this assuming his videos provided a general overview of the more content-rich book, which would go into more detail. After reading the book, the opposite seems true- it has a lot of white spaces and bullet points, and I read it in less than an hour. If you're looking for a quick, cheap overview of commercial real estate (basic definitions, general advantages & disadvantages of different CRE types, etc.) then this could work for you. If you're interested in details (strategies on finding properties & financing, finding & working with brokers & property managers, strategies specific to different types of CRE, advice on using LLC or other structures for asset protection, case studies on different lease types, descriptions of experiences & lessons learned, etc.), I would look for something more in-depth. He does provide some rules of thumb about what property types he recommends for beginners & what ballpark to stay in for certain metrics when starting out (cap rate, cash on cash return, etc.), and includes 3 case studies for illustration. I felt like those marginally made it worth the small amount I paid, although based on the description, I was expecting more. I appreciate the great advice he's shared in his videos, and if he has the inclination in the future to write books that go into more depth, I'll probably be interested.

This book captures all the core information needed to decide if commercial real estate investing is for you and get you started on your way.This book is quick and easy to read, but packs solid information on every page. I wish I had had this book when I first became interested in commercial real estate. It even contains some vital concepts (secrets) the other gurus never taught me!

It is pretty basic but is written coherently, provides a decent overview of commercial real estate investing. For absolute beginners it is well worth one dollar. No fluff, short and to the point.
I'm glad this was my first read of 2018. This book offers examples with terms that are easy to understand.
I'm really only getting started when it come to real estate investing. This book answered questions I didn't even know I had. This is an easy read with great examples. I can't wait to learn more and use the tips that I have learned.

Thricely, you have to want to succeed and you have to need to be obsessed with success, and tools are the only way to accomplish that, this is one of those tools that will get to to succeed.
In this book Peter breaks down complex investing language into simple layman's terms. Not only that, but he gives great examples and even has you do some hands-on exercises so that the concepts really sink in. As someone who is brand new to commercial investing I found this to be an excellent teaching tool.If you want fluff and hypothetical theories go somewhere else, but if you want actual useful information to help you build a solid investing foundation then this is the book for you!
