About the Author
David Kherdian is an internationally acclaimed author of 73 books, 23 of them poetry. This is an amazing piece of literature that has previously only been available in extremely limited editions to people on the inside of various Gurdjieff related study groups. It is the scenario of a ballet written by Gurdjieff as the centerpiece of his earliest efforts at group work with his students. Not only that it is beautifully written and tells a marvelous story of a battle between two magicians. The story is itself mythic, nearly Biblical, and conveys the essence of Gurdjieff's ideas and is one of the earliest existing literary works produced by Gurdjieff. It is highly recommended and, compared to much of Gurdjieff's later writing, is very easy to read and follow.
Interesting allegory.this book is a good primer to the teachings of Gurdjieff. I liked it and will re-read. anyone wishing to jump into his writings must read this book.
Anyone interested in higher consciousness should read this "story".
Pure genius. Created by the master. It is a small book, but it is a gem. Many of us have wondered for decades what were the details of this rehearsed and prepared production. I got chills as I read it. An inspiring read.
This is the ballet that Mr. Gurdjieff never got off the ground, but it didn't matter to him as it was simply a means to a different path. Reading it seems dated, is somehow out of time itself and in another dimension.

No one understood or understands the man (Gurdjieff). You must want to understand the message, not the man. Every word has meaning beyound or "ordenary" lives.
