I ordered this bible for my 8yr old son to take to church camp with him..... however after buying it, I ended up returning it. If I would have kept, I most likely would have just kept it for myself. My husband and I both looked through it, and decided it wasn't the right one for our son. Nothing wrong with it, it just might be better fit for an older child. Now I did love the fact, that at the beginning of each book, it had the details as to who wrote that book :)
I love this bible, it is very easy to use and the side panes have things broken down for the reader. there are lots of colorful pictures, but not like a small childs bible-they are tastefully placed without being over abundant. I would recommend this bible to anyone 10 or up. I am an adult and bought this kids version on purpose and I love it-it makes the bible more understandable and more fun.
The printing is much too small!To ensure a child reads the words and understands them they should NOT have to struggle to see them! Love the packaging but it stops there.!
As many stated, the pages are quite thin. However, the size seems to be ok. It seems like a Bible that will grow with my child. My child is a big reader and really enjoys research and studying material she is interested in. I think this is a good beginner study Bible. I hope it works for her.
We were really excited about the features of this Bible for our 10 yr old daughter. She wants her own Bible and the extra facts, visuals, and maps add a lot of great interest!! Unfortunately, the print is too small, as well as too light in color. I'm not sure what the font is, but for a younger reader, the bigger and bolder the better. Sadly, we will be returning.
I purchased this bible for a very curious young man and he and his mom fell deeply in love with the simplicity of the bible. The study portion has helped tremendously in breaking down topics that his mom could help him understand.
