We homeschool and must complete testing at certain times. I like these Harcourt test prep booklets very much. They are not simply test 'practice' (ie just a bunch of tests to practice taking). It has practice tests, but it also has a lot of information for the student about what kind of questions they will encounter on tests, what skills these different types of questions are trying to judge, etc, in order to help the child be more comfortable going into a test.
I have always used the test prep books to help my daughter with test taking skills/anxiety. However, this one seems way off grade level. We used the sixth grade and it was more advanced than seventh grade. Overall, not impressed at all.
better than just test prep, it is a good workbook to help with 7th grade curriculum..

We use it to see what areas we need to review and make sure we are on top of our weak points. This homeschool family is addicted to Harcourt Family Learning series!
This book covers a wide range of skills. The questions though are simply too easy. I wanted to use this book for the summer gap. My kids get through four pages in about 5 minutes. Overall, very disappointing.
