I bought this book to read with the Spanish version for a college course. It was interesting to learn a bit more about Walt Disney, but I don't think it was interesting enough to hold the attention of a child. I understand the importance of taking a look in the life of a person who made so much difference in the world, but these types of non-fiction books are just not my cup of tea.
We really enjoy this series and we recently added this one to our collection. I really enjoy them and it's a nice way to introduce kids to history and written in easy to understand ways. Really suggest this series and we own several. Our kids started this series in elementary school. This one also goes into not giving up as it references struggling with the great depression.
My 7 and 9 year olds both love these books! They are easy quick reads For the 9 year old but still have enough content to keep her interest. We love them because they are educational too! Learning more about the people behind the things!
Well written book. Purchased for my 10 year old to write a report. Kept him interested.
We live in Orlando and thought we knew all there was to know about the late great W.D. but this book proved that we did not. Great book and not too long or overwhelming for the young readers.
Easy read for a child wanting to know more about Walt's life. My son used this text to help prepare for a speech about Walt Disney.
These books are great for my third graders! They use these for their big biography projects and they offer tons of great info!
This was a great book to teach my 6 year old son about Walt Disney before our trip to Walt Disney World. "Wait? Disney's a person?" he asked. Yep. The writing was straightforward, but not overly simple. And I enjoyed learning somethings, too.
