“Brilliant” is not a word I toss around lightly, but “The Big Book of 30-Day Challenges” is brilliant! The table of contents does not show anything I would not like to be in my routine, and includes most things I have said I would like to do such as meditate, sleep better, wake up earlier, drink more water, walk 10,000 steps – you get the idea. And most all of these good habits have always seemed too difficult / too time consuming / too overwhelming, just too much! But 30-days… I can do most anything for 30-days. The other good approach I learned from the book is, “one thing at a time.” Trying to “get in shape” is not really a goal – but just run, or just train for a plank, or just do yoga, (one thing at a time) makes the goal manageable and 30-day challenge makes it doable.The challenges cut across all aspects of my life – exercise, food, creativity, relationships, and include the exact types of habits that will make a real, positive, difference in life. Couple that with creating goals into habits, and the change will stick. This book is my New Year’s gift to all my family and friends.

I bought this book and for one reason only because it says challenges in the title. I decided not too long ago that my life was in desperate need of a fun, to-do. I wanted to do something that felt like an accomplishment, that I could later share my experience with others. So, I bought this book to embark on a journey of challenges to kickstart my YES man attitude. It did not disappoint. So far I’m participating in the de-cluttering for 30 days and I must say, there is something pretty wonderful about really committing to a task that will inevitably improve my overall life. I love that it’s taking it day by day, from things I’ve been meaning to get rid of/ donate but I hadn’t really taken the time to until now. “Big Book of 30 Day Challenges” is a really good resource to structuring your life. Take for instance, the Exercise challenge. That’s on my next to-do, as well as, Track Your Expenses because Lord knows I need it. Anyways this book is great for getting you committed to the tasks at hand, everything you wanted to do but didn’t have the motivation, until now.

It is difficult for me to maintain a healthy and organized life consistently, but I know that I respond well to a feeling of accomplishment. So when I saw this I knew it was for me. I immediately took the challenge and decided I would finish it. Each little change and activity was satisfying to complete. I was surprised at how much my general mood improved just from these slight changes. These aren't challenges for the sake of challenge though they're actually a great way to get your life on the right track because I know for so many of us it's difficult to know where to begin, I suggest you begin with this book.

I'm a big fan of accountability challenges (running streaks, different diets, habit tracker), so you can imagine that I was completely delighted to discover The Big Book of 30 Day Challenges! This book has common challenges such as healthy eating and exercise goals, creative challenges such as lucid dreaming, and truly difficult challenges such as waking up at 5 am (ugh!) or changing how you think (no complaining, gossiping, or judging!). This collection of life-affirming (and dare I say potentially life changing) challenges includes step-by-step breakdowns of how to accomplish them, as well as tips and advice. The author's friendly writing and fun, colorful illustrations make it easy for anyone, even people who aren't into challenges, to give them a shot and succeed.

I'm game to try most things once, especially things that are simple changes, so the some of the challenges in this book are right up my alley. I like that it talks about more than just physical well being. It mentions self care and being aware of what you can and cannot do and only taking on one challenge at a time and knowing how to keep yourself accountable. There's also a nice amount of variation in the challenges per chapter so there's something for everyone, and enough that you won't run out of things to try. The challenges each get a decent amount of explanation so it's pretty easy to follow through with them. If you're looking for ideas of lifestyle changes and guides for how to actually work on them, this book would definitely work.

This a book of ideas that you can do in 30 days. It does not include a way to track your ideas or provide any details. It is also cheaply produced and my book arrived with shredded pages. I gave it one star because the illustrations were ok. Save your money, I returned mine.

This was an intimidating but inspirational purchase. I truly feel as though this book could help most people begin a new habit. It also seems that many of these challenges can build upon one another, or can be intermixed. It also felt really good to know that making one's bed every day is a good habit to have, because HEY I ALREADY DO THAT - among other things. Not only will you be motivated to try new things, your confidence will increase knowing you already have healthy habits. BECOME A NEW PERSON get this book

I originally listened to this on audio but then promptly purchased the physical copy since I'm a visual person and the suggested/optional plans for each challenge are crafted beautifully. My favorite part was the great variety of types of challenges included. Honestly I wasn't even going to listen to the audio because I figured I could just Google some ideas but this book turned out to be succinct, all-inclusive, accessible, and motivating so I didn't need to shift through tons of blogs. I also love that she says to disregard the challenges you aren't interested in but other than tech stuff, I found all of them applicable. Bought a copy for my mom's birthday - I challenged her to a year of challenges and we are having a blast. Wish us luck!
